An
example of the texts included in the work:
"The
number of refugees in the world
There are currently 69 million refugees in
the world. They are people who have fled
their homes because of violence, poverty or
a natural disaster.
28 million of them have escaped abroad
looking for safety. 2.6 million refugees
have ended up in the EU member states.
However, most refugees do not flee abroad,
but try to avoid persecution by moving from
one place to another in their home country.
There are currently 41 million of them.
85% of refugees stay in developing countries
and never reach Europe or other wealthy
areas. For example, in 2015 most of
the new refugees fled to Turkey, Pakistan,
Lebanon, Iran, Ethiopia, Jordan, Kenya,
Uganda, Congo and Chad.
Turkey hosts the biggest refugee population,
Pakistan the second biggest. The next
biggest refugee populations are in Uganda,
Lebanon, Iran, Germany, Bangladesh, Sudan,
Ethiopia and Jordan.
Lebanon hosts the largest number of refugees
relative to its national population: 164
refugees per 1000 Lebanese people. Among the
wealthy countries, the top host is Sweden:
24 refugees per 1000 Swedes.
In 2017, over 16 million new refugees left
their homes. 4% of them – or 650 000 people
– came to EU. Many came by boats or ships
across the Mediterranean. 3139 of them
drowned on the way."

An
excerpt from the poem that's included in the
work (no translation yet):
...
Tämä maa ei ole sinun,
etkä sinä ole sinä,
sinä olet nippu minuuksia,
jotkut äidin peruja, jotkut isän,
monet telkusta, netistä ja kaupasta
peräisin,
ja sinun kielesi kehiteltiin muista kielistä,
sinun kansallisuutesi on satu
ja erillisyytesi
on lapsen harha.
Sinä olet nahkapussi,
joka on täyttynyt kourallisella geenejä
ja toisella kourallisella meemejä.
Sinä olet vuotava nahkapussi.
Roinaa virtaa kaiken aikaa sekä sisään
että ulos.
Tämä maa ei ole sinun,
maa omistaa sinut,
ja sinä toivot, että maa rakastaisi juuri
sinua
ja antaisi sinulle aivan erityisen roolin,
vaikka tiedät,
ettei valittua kansaa ole.
